
PWA: Lorna Gray will be in the Cairns Room after the morning service to collect money (£15) from those who hope to attend the PWA lunch on Wednesday 14th May at Malone Golf Club at 12.30pm.
Christian Aid Week: we still require three people to help with the local Christian Aid house-to-house collection during the week beginning 11th May. As Fiona Doherty is away this week Mr Orr would be very glad to have the names of additional volunteers.
Sunflower seeds for children up to 14 years old will be available from John Hill in the foyer after the morning service. The flowers will be judged prior to the Autumn Fête and prizes awarded on the day (13th September). Parents, please encourage your children to take part.
Chronicle: articles for the ‘Summer’ edition of the Chronicle should be with the editor, Donald Milliken, before Monday 24th May.
Audio Recordings: please pick up a CD for delivery from the Office off the Foyer after morning worship.

Jenny Orr is running the Belfast City Marathon. Any sponsorship will be shared between Treehouse, a school for autistic children, where her daughter, Heather, is teaching, and Presbyterian Women (formerly the PWA). Thank you for your support.
Wednesday 7th May
The Lunch Club meets in the Rosetta Hall at 12.15pm for lunch at 12.30pm.
There will be no Minister’s Office Hour over the summer months. Mr Orr can be contacted at any time at the manse.

Squirrels, for boys aged 4 and 5, takes place on Monday evenings at 6.00pm. I have received quite a few enquiries about places for next year, and will have to operate a waiting list. I would be grateful if you would let me know if you have a boy who would like to join before Christmas so that I can prioritise the waiting list. Marjorie Guiler.

Colin Anderson will be licensed during a service in Helen’s Bay Church on the evening of Sunday 1st June. As the church is limited in size, Newtownbreda have been offered 40 places. Lists are available in the porches today with spaces for the first 40 to sign. There will also be evening worship in our own church on that date, marking the close of our Flower Festival and conducted by the Rev. Bill Haslett.
