The 62 Belfast Scouts
The Scouts meet on a Friday evening at 7.30pm usually in the St John's Hall or the Scout den.

We restarted after the Summer break in September. The Scouts who had been at the Centenary Jamboree in England were full of stories of their adventures there. They have already given several presentations with photographs of many of the activities they participated in and enjoyed.

The Centenary theme continued in October with a big parade and service at The Whitla Hall in Queens University. Scout Headquarters had obtained a full set of all the flags of the 160 countries which were at the Jamboree, and each Troop carried a few. We had Australia and a couple of African countries. They made a colourful sight, waving in the breeze, as we paraded down Botanic Avenue, and back up University Road.

We have also had our usual programme of games, Scouting skills and activities. We made Hot Dogs for the Church Autumn fair, which seemed to go down well. We would welcome any new Scouts (ages 11-14), as our numbers are down a little this year. Come along and enjoy yourselves on Friday nights, and learn a few new skills as well.
