Young Womens' Group
This group is open to any women in the congregation.
We meet once a month on the first Tuesday of the month in the Cairns Room at 8pm. We start in October and have organised a programme until the end of June.
The aims of the group are to extend fellowship, friendship and support to all the members. To provide a wide ranging and varied programme this can range from talks by missionaries and other people who contribute in any way to the Church to craft activities and visits to places of interest.
In the current year we have visited Paint Me, Glaze Me in Holywood and enjoyed a cookery demonstration and tasting session from The Pampered Chef. One of our members Catherine Breen taught us the art of card making. We enjoyed a talk from Ruth Watters about her visit to Ethiopia.
We are planning a visit to Donegal in May and we regularly have BBQ in June when the menfolk are asked along to help!!
It is our practice every year to organise a fundraising activity. This year we held an auction which raised in excess of £2000 for the Halls Redevelopment Fund.
We provided a Christingle tea with sandwiches and mince pies after the Carol Service at Christmas.
